Snail & Centipede

School is reopening soon. A centipede is going to the same school as his neighbour - snail.

The centipede teases the snail, "Hi, I think tomorrow you have to wake up at 3am. Otherwise you can't reach school before 7am."

The snail replies sadly, " Yes, my mom asks me to wake up at 2am. I have to go to bed now."

The next day, the snail wakes up at 2am and manages to reach school before 7am. But he doesn't see the centipede in the class.

After school, the snail sees centipede is still sitting at the door wearing school uniform.

The snail asks, "Why didn't you go to school today."

The centipede replies sadly, "I'm still wearing the socks and the shoes. My mom asks me to wake up at 1am tomorrow morning..." 

Fox & Deer

One day, a hungry fox catches a deer and prepares to eat the deer. Suddenly, there is a tiger walking quietly towards the fox and the deer. The tiger is approaching them from the back of the fox, so only the deer notices the tiger.

The deer has an idea, "Mr. Fox, are you the strongest animal in the jungle?"

"Of course, who else do you think."

"I thought the tiger is stronger." says the deer.

"What? You think that stupid tiger is stronger? Hahah... I can punch him to dead with my single hand!" bluffs the fox.

"HAAAWWWW, what did you say just now?" roars the tiger.

The fox is scared to dead when seeing a tiger is standing at his back. The tiger catches the fox and eats him. And the deer quickly runs away...

The Dancing Bread

In a bakery shop, there is a piece of cheerful bread. The bread is made with special indregients - flour and music, which makes the bread can dance.

One day, a bear's mother is sick. So the bear goes to the bakery shop, tries to buy his mom a bread to eat.

"Hopefully mom will get better after eating the bread."

Coincidently, the small bear chooses the dancing bread. After paying the money, he brings the bread home.

"Mom, I buy a piece of bread for you. You will get better after eating the bread," says the bear to his mom after reaching home.

The mummy bear is also happy to have bread to eat, she has been eating honey for too long.

"Give me the bread."

"Don't eat me!!!" but the bread does not have mouth, she can't speak out. She decides to run away before end up in the bear's stomach.

The little bear can't find the bread, "It was here just now..."

Suddenly, the little bear sees a piece of bread just about to run out from his house.

"A bread can run?" without thinking much, the little bear chases the bread and catches it.

When the bear puts the bread on the table, it starts to dance. The mummy bear is so happy and cheerful to see a dancing bread. She immediately recovers from her sickness.

Since the mummy bear has recovered, they don't eat the bread anymore. Everyday, they watch the bread dancing together with their friends. They feel happy and cheerful everyday.

 

Lion & Squirrel

Story by Josyne Ngu:

One day, a hungry lion sees a squirrel. He wants to eat the squirrel. The squirrel quickly climbs up the tree. The squirrel can't go down the tree to play with his friend as lion is waiting under the tree. So the squirrel takes out some sweets and asks, "Do you want to eat sweets?"

The lion says, "Yes."

So the squirrel gives a lot of sweets to the lion. Then all the lion's teeth are broken. So the lion can't eat the squirrel anymore.

Now the squirrel can go down the tree and play with his friends. 

Bird & Fish

One day, a bird wants to learn swimming. He flies to a river and asks a fish to help.

The fish remembers that his best friend was eaten by this bird a few days ago. So he has a plan for this bird. (The main purpose of bird to learn swimming is to catch more fish).

"No problem, I can teach you how to swim," says the fish to the bird.

The fish teaches the bird some basic swimming skill and praises him, "You are a genius. I've never seen anyone picking up swimming skill so fast! You can swim very very well now."

The bird really thinks he is genius and is very proud of himself. So he decides to go to deeper river to catch bigger fish.

The moment the bird jumps into the deep river, he realises that he can't swim well. He feels very tired after swim for short while and can't fly out from the water.

The bird finally drowns in the river.

 

Mother Hen's Egg III

One day, a mother hen sees a nice small bird's egg lying on the floor. As she can't find the mother bird, so she decides to bring the egg home and hatch it together with her own eggs. The mother hen has laid three of her own eggs.

After a few weeks of hatching, finally the little chicks and little bird come out from the eggs. The little bird is dark and ugly, so all the little chicks like to bully him.

One day, when mother hen is away looking for food, the three little chicks bring the little bird climb up a tall tree. The little chicks start to bully the little bird by pushing him down from the tree!

The little bird is so scared. He tries to flip his wings as hard as possible. Before he hits his body to the ground, the little bird manages to fly and disappear into the sky (never come back again).

The little chicks are so puzzled! They think they can fly like little bird (they don't know the little bird is a bird), so they jump down one by one from the tall tree. Eventhough they flip their wings very hard, they can't fly. Finally, all the little chicks die of falling down from the tree.

Tiger & Goat & Donkey

One day, a hungry tiger sees a goat is eating grass in a field. He quickly goes to catch the goat. But the goat manages to run into a small cave and hides inside there. The tiger uses all kinds of tricks, but fails to make the goat to come out from the cave.

The tiger has no choice but goes to find other food. He is lucky. He sees another donkey wondering in the jungle. This time, he manages to catch the donkey.

Before the tiger eats the donkey, he has a better idea.

"If you manage to persuade the goat to come out from the cave, I'll let you go," says the tiger to the donkey.

So the donkey goes to the cave and persuade the goat to come out of the cave.

"Hey, goat. Come out and play with me! Tiger has gone," says the donkey to the goat.

The goat finally believes him and comes out of the cave. The tigers then catches both and eat them.

Before the donkey dies, he says, "You tell lie, you don't keep your promise."

"Hahah, you tell lie to donkey as well."


The moral of the story is, you can't complain people telling lie, if you yourself tell lie too.

Joanne, "No, I won't!"

Daddy, "Will you ask your friend to come out if the tiger let you go but will eat your friend?"

Joanne, "Yes, I will!"

Wolf & Goat

One day, a goat is eating grass in a field. A hungry wold sees the goat, so queitly approaching the goat. The wolf then catches the goat.

But the goat seems like very calm. He tells the wolf that he is sick, and his meet is as hard as stone.

"I don't think you can eat my meat," says the goat. "Do you see the big stone over there? You can try whether your teeth are strong enough to eat my meat," the goat points to the big stone.

The stupid wolf goes the the big stone, and bites the big stone as hard as possible. All of the sudden the teeth are all broken.

"See I told you! Your teeth are not strong enough to eat me," says the goat before he walks away.



 

Mother Hen's Egg II

One day, a mother hen lays a nice egg. However, she is not happy with her egg, so she decides to change with others.

So the mother hen goes to see mother ostrich, "Your egg is so big! Can I change my egg with yours?"

"No, your egg is too small," says the mothe ostrich.

 So the mother hen goes to see mother goose, "Your egg is so big! Can I change my egg with yours?"

"No, your egg is too small," says the mothe goose.

So the mother hen goes to see mother duck, "Your egg is so big! Can I change my egg with yours?"

"No, your egg is too small," says the mothe duck.

So the mother hen goes to see mother robin, "My egg is bigger than yours! Can I change my egg with yours?"

"No. Eventhough my egg is small, but it is precious," says the mothe robin.

The mother hen finally realises that eventhough her egg is small, but it is still very special.

Magic Remote Control II

The next day is a sport day for the boy's school. A fat little girl comes to see the boy, "I know you can help me to win the race. I want to win, I need a medal for my mum's birthday."

The boy promises to help the fat girl, as the fat girl gives the boy a toy - a truck. It is not the ordinary truck, but it is a Transformer truck. No boys can resist it.

The next event is 100 m race. The fat girl is getting ready!

"On your mark, get set, go!"

The fat girl is leaving behind by all the other athletes. Basically, she has no chance on winning the race.

The boy takes out his magic remote control, points to the fat girl, and presses "fast forward".

The fat girl suddenly runs like a wind, overtakes all the other athletes and wins the race. All the audience couldn't believe their eyes...

The boy is very happy with his magic remote control. However, while walking back to his house, the boy accidently drops the remote control and it is broken forever.


 

Cow & Deer

One day, both cow and deer are eating grass in a field. The deer doesn't like the cow as the cow is eating the grass quickly, as if this is his last meal.

"Hey, why do you eat in a hurry? Look at me, eating gently like a gentleman," laughs the deer.

But the cow keeps eating, without bothering the deer.

Suddenly, a tiger jumps out from the jungle. Both the cow and the deer run for their lives. They then run into a cave, using a big stone to block the entrance.

The tiger doesn't give up, he waits for the cow and deer outside the cave.

After few days, the deer is very hungry. He can't find any food inside the cave. When the deer sees the cow chewing, he is surprised.

"Where do you get the food?" asks the deer.

"I got it 3 days ago, in the same field that you were eating. I have 4 stomachs to store my food," laughs the cow.

Another few days later the deer dies of starving, and the cow still chwing his food from the stomach.

The tiger finally away, the cow manages to survive with his magic stomachs.

 

Magic Remote Control

One day, a boy picks up a new remote control on his way back from school. Coincidentally, his DVD remote control is broken. So he brings back the remote control, hoping that it is compatible with his DVD machine.

At home, the boy keeps pressing PLAY-PAUSE-PLAY-PAUSE, but nothing happen to the DVD machine. The boy knows that this remote control cannot be used for his DVD machine. Suddenly, his sister passing by in front of him while he presses PAUSE. All of the sudden, his sister pasuses in front of the boy, like a statue.

The boy is happy that the remote control is so magical. The next day he brings it to the school. While they are studying, there is a bad guy runs into their school with a machine gun! He wants to kipnap some children for the money!

All the children and teachers are shouting when seeing the masked bad guy. There is one teacher who wants to call the police, but then shot down by the bad guy.

The boy quietly takes out his magic remote control, points to the bad guy and presses PAUSE. The bad guy suddently standing still, without any movement.

"Call the police," shouts the boy to the teachers.

So the teachers call the police. When the police come to the school, the boy presses RESUME. The bad guy wants to run away when he sees the police, but the police manage to catch him. No body knows what happen (why the bad guy stands there waiting for the police to come), except the boy.

Snake & Bees

A snake is crawling in the bush. He is very hungry and is looking for food. After few hours of searching, he sees a big beehive hanging on a tree. The snake decides to have some honey.

The snake crawls up the tree slowly, he is not afraid of bees as his skin is very hard. All the bees are worried and fly out of the hive when seeing snake crawling towards them. They try to stop by stinging the snake but the skin is too hard.

Finally, the whole beehive is eaten by the snake. All the bees are sad and fly away as they can do nothing. There is one bee, who is really angry with the snake. Starting from that day, he follows the snake everyway it goes.

"Go away, you can do nothing," shouts the snake, feeling irritated with the bee. But the bee keeps following him.

After few months, the bee finally notices that the snake needs to change his skin for him to grow bigger. So the bee flies back to tell the news to all his friends.

The bee continues to follow the snake, waiting for his opportunity. After few months, finally the snake starts to shed his skin. There are a few seconds when the new skin is still not as hard as the old skin yet. The bee then informs all the other bees and they sting at the snake as hard as possible, while it is shedding off the old skin.

The snake feels the pain and is killed by the bees. 

Naughty Boy & Bee

There is one naughty boy who always like to torture other living things. One day, he sees some bees flying around his garden. He quickly goes back and takes out a net to catch them.

After catching the bees with his net, he uses a pair of scissors to cut off their wings.

The poor bees, after loosing their wing, can't fll anymore. They can't fly back to their bee hives, can't fly to find food. They are left to dead.

There is one bee, plans to revenge before he dies. So the bee slowly crawl into the naughty boy's house, into the kitchen and waits for his chance.

The boy is hungry. So he goes to the kitchen to prepare some breads for himself. After dressing the kaya and peanut butter on the breads, he leaves the breads on the table and goes to prepare some drink.

The bee quickly crawls to the bread, hides in between them.

When the boy picks up the breads and eats them, the bee quickly slides down the throat, into the boy's stomach.

The bee, with all his strength, stings the boy's stomach before he is killed by gastric acid.

The naughty boy feels the great pain in his stomach and collapses.  

Cat & Mouse

In a house lives a mouse. The mouse always eats the things in the house, including the foods, fruits, newspapers, sofas, etc. This makes the house owner becomes mad. She deiceds to rent a cat to catch that mouse.

The house owner manages to rent an expensive cat from a pet shop. when she puts the cat in her house, the cat immediately goes to sleep. The cat seems like only know how to eat and sleep. The house owner can't do anything as she has paid the rental for a month.

Initially when the mouse sees the new cat, it is a bit scared. But after seeing the cat sleeping most if the time, the mouse feels better.

One day, the cat is eating some nice fish given by house owner. As she cannot finish it, she brings it to the mouse hole and puts it there. The mouse is puzzled with what the cat does.

"Maybe she tries to be friendly."

So the mouse comes out and eats all the fish.

Since then the cat always leaves some food for the mouse. The mouse no longer need to find food for himself. He also doesn't go back to mouse hole anymore as he isn't scared of the cat.

After two weeks of feeding the mouse, the cat finally does something. The cat slowly walks towards the mouse who is eating food.

Seeing the cat coming towards him, the mouse quickly runs towards the mouse hole. But he reliases that his body is too fat to go into it. The mouse tries to run to other place, but the cat finally manages to catch it.

Before the cat eats him, the mouse asks why the cat fed him.

"Three reasons, one is to make you fatter so that you can't go back to your house. Two is to make you run slower when you get fat. Three is, I like to eat fatty meat."

The cat then swallows the mouse. 

Monkey & Mosquitoes

A monkey stays in a jungle. His house has a lot of mosquitoes who come to bite him every night. He hardly can sleep.

He decides to learn how to kill the mosquitoes. He comes to a river and finds an archer fish is shooting the water at a mosquito.

"Can you teach me how to kill the mosquitoes?" asks the monkey to the archer fish.

"No, you can't shoot with water."

The monkey is disappointed. He continues to look for other animals. He finds a frog who is using his long tongue to catch a mosquito.

"Can you teach me how to kill the mosquitoes?" asks the monkey to the frog.

"No, you don't have long tongue."

The monkey is disappointed. He continues to look for other animals. He finds a spider who is using his web to catch a mosquito.

"Can you teach me how to kill the mosquitoes?" asks the monkey to the spider.

"No, you can't produce spider silk."

The monkey is disappointed. He has to think of his own way of killing mosquitoes.

"What do I have? Well, I have long tail."

So the monkey starts to train himself by hitting the mosquitoes with his long tail. After a few weeks of training, he can easily hits a flying mosquito with his tail. No more mosquito comes to bite him.

An Old Wolf

There is an old wolf in a jungle, who is very very old and has no energy to find food. He is too old to chase after a rabbit, or a monkey, or a deer, or even a cat.

"That's it of my life!"

So he quietly sits under a tree near a village, waiting for his time to die.

While waiting, he sees in the village there are a few dogs kept by villagers, who don't have to find food for themselves. He suddenly has an idea.

From that day, the old wolf learns how to bark like a dog, walk like a dog, sleep like a dog, run like a dog.

After a few days of learning, finally he walks towards the village.

"Wow, is that a Tamaskan dog?" shouts one of the villagers.

The wolf quickly barks like a dog. The villager is happy and brings him back. He gives the wolf good food and good place to sleep.

The wolf never has to worry about the food anymore.

 

Donkey & Wild Cat

A donkey is tired of eating grass. He wants to try some other food. While looking for some nice food he meets with a wild cat. The donkey tells the wild cat about his plan.

"Follow me," the wild cat gives him some fish to eat.

After trying for a few times, donkey begins to like the meat.

One day, the wild cat and the donkey go to find food in the jungle. But they can't find any food.

The donkey is so hungry, he waits until the wild cat doesn't notice, then he bites the wild cat. The donkey can't eat the grass anymore, he has to eat the meat.

The wild cat is feeling regretted to teach the donkey to eat meat. But it is too late...

Mummy & Baby Parrots

In a pet shop, there is a mummy parrot who delivers two babies recently. The baby parrots are very colourful.

One day, a man brings his twin daughters to the pet shop. He wants to buy each of them a pet for their birthday presents.

"Go choose your own pet."

Both of them choose the baby parrots.

Joanne is kind of lazy. Everyday, she is scolded by her mum for not feeding the parrot. She also seldom plays with her parrot.

Josyne is taking her parrot very well. Everyday, she feeds it, washes it, plays with it. She also teaches the parrot to speak English. Soon, her parrot can speak English very well.

"Good morning, how are you?"

"Good day, I'm fine today. Thank you." answers Josyne's parrot.

People are very amazed with Josyne's parrot as she can understand and speak English. The parrot is flattered and looks down at Joanne's parrot.

One day, the whole family have to move to other place as daddy has changed his job. As they can't bring the parrots with them, they decide to return the parrots to the pet shop.

The two parrots are very happy to see their mother again.

"Hi, mom. How are you? Long time no see!" says the Josyne's parrot.

Unfortunately, the mummy parrot doesn't speak English. So she doesn't talk back to Josyne's parrot.

"Ji Zi...Ji Ji Ji...Zhi Ji..." says the Joanne's parrot to mummy.

"Ji Zi Zi...Zhi Zhi Ji Ji..." answers the mummy parrot.

And they talk to each other happily.

First time in his life, Josyne's parrot hates that he can speak English....
